Google-Google everywhere! Google.com, Google earth, Google maps, Google directions, Earth View and now Google glass and Google car! Are you kidding me! What is Google upto? No second thought, all doubts clear, I hereby declare God Google the champs of technology! No offense to anyone, I am calling Google “God Google” because we use this word more than “God” and ask for much more from Google search engine than what we ask from God. Of course, both play a major role in our lives nowadays.

Google is ‘much more’ than what Microsoft used to be in the past. They are sitting in the hall of fame at such a level on which the other companies sat in many more years. I think it’s time for other major players to re-think, re-plan and execute really quickly, else they will be light years away.
I really consider myself lucky to have taken birth in the era where major transformation in technology has taken place. I remember using dial-up connection and then switching to broadband and then Wi-Fi. Information Technology has transformed majorly in last decade. I remember working on computer with DOS commands, then Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, Win Vista, Win 7, and 8. Microsoft has always been a big hit on my mind. But gone are the days when Apple and Microsoft were the only players in the market. As a brand, Google is “the only super hit” nowadays. Sometimes I wonder where Google was until now. Oh! I mean where were all the talented people hiding?
Last week, my colleague and I were in gym. We were just discussing about a good diet. We ran into an argument over what to have after gym, Coca-Cola or glass of mixed fruit juice? He said why don’t we Google it? I mean, even for a small decision, he wanted to search on www.google.com. God Google answered everything, but isn’t so crazy for us to be so dependent on Google in our daily life?
Google had hit the roots of mobile phone market with Android OS. It came up like a tsunami and flooded the whole cell phone market. Not only they made the phones smart, but at the same time they made all the mobile phone manufacturers dependent on their OS. No doubt, both the hardware manufacturers and Google turned their profits manifolds; however, moving hand in hand was the only option they were left with. Samsung and Micromax flooded the market like crazy with Android OS, and on the other hand a major brand Nokia swept away. End of the day, Google has made all the major mobile phone manufacturers dependent on their OS.

Right from checking e-mails on Gmail, watching videos on YouTube, checking Google News to stay updated to taking help of Google Maps on the road; now Google Glass and driver-less cars without steering wheel and brakes!! OMG!! How crazy!! Just imagine you are stuck somewhere in the middle of the night and you call up a taxi vendor for taxi. After waiting for 5 minutes, a Google driverless car without steering wheel and brakes comes to pick you!! What will scare your more, the darkness of the roadside or a driverless car? Lol!! It might take some time for people to get used to it, but I am sure it will be super hit, too.
Not long from now, if they go with the same vision, Google will be “The King” in the market leaving behind all the major players in every industry.
