With an idea to touch people's life, Google has integrated features for Computer, TV, Smartwatches, Google Glass and more in Android L.

Here is a glimpse of something new in Android’s newer version ‘Android L’

1. New User Interface

Google’s new Material Design in Android L gave a serious face-lift to the user interface. New Android will have much improved looks and features. It will not that simple because it makes much more use of interface layers while running on multiple types of devices, including your Smartphone, TV,  Tablet and your computer. You can do multi-tasking and the notifications will appear floating on the screen.

2. New Keyboard Design

If you don’t  like your Android phone's default keyboard,  SwiftKey app could have enhanced your experience so far. But now the new Android L keyboard will also have customizable layouts and designs. It will support multiple languages and present more accurate next-word predictions by self learning.

3. Improved Battery Life

Google has paid some serious attention to battery backup issues via Google's Project Volta. The new Android L is expected to give you much better battery backup. The inbuilt battery saver feature automatically adjusts the CPU load and reduces display brightness when your phone is low on battery power. Like wise men say ‘Every penny saved is every penny earned’, similarly the amount of battery juice saved in Android L, gives you almost 60-90 minutes of extra usage.

4. Performance Boost

In order to provide you improved graphics experience ( Almost what you get on computers), better gaming experience, and boosted performance, Android L may comeup with Android Extension Pack at a later stage for 64- bit compatibility.

5. New Apps

A lot of old Apps will be redesigned and fresh Apps will be introduced. for Android L because it will bea part of multiple devices including your Smartphone, TV,  Tablet and your computer. Once you install an App on your phone, it will automatically get download on your compatible smart device/accessory.
While usage, the User Interface will display both, your frequently used apps and open Chrome tabs as stackable cards at the side of the screen. According to Google, it will make multitasking easier by letting you access your recent Apps or Chrome tabs.

Android kitKat 4.4 was launched in last September and just few days back, Android 4.4.3 KitKat update have started rolling on to Android based 4.4.2 phones. While this update is already in picture, rumours are that another version of version of Android OS will be launched soon, which could be either Android 4.5 or 5.0 Lollipop. If we go alphabetically, so far then Honeycomb,  Ice Cream, KitKat  and newer version might be Lollipop.  More details about it would be revealed after Google's I/O developer conference at the end of this month.

The exact details about the new version are not out yet; however, according to few online sources and leaks, this is what we are expecting out of it:

1. Google Babble: After the acquisition of WhatsApp, Facebook is has becomes a leader in the messaging Apps. Now in order to give a tuff competition to the leader, Google might come up with Google Babble in this new OS. Google Babble App will be a combination of GTalk, Google Hangout messanger and its other communication Apps from Google. This App is already available on Google Play Store. All in all it will be somewhat like WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat and Line.
2. Wearables:  Google has recently launched Google Glass and may launch few more wearable’s like smart watches and gadgets to maintain health after few months.  In order to make them work insync with the phone Android Lollipop may have some inbuilt app.
3. Bug Fixes and Optimization: Bug fixes and optimization will also be focussed in the upcoming OS. Couple of bugs which were not fixed by the 4.4.3 KitKat update as reported by the users may also get completely fixed in the new OS.
4. Security Features: Though Android is one of the largest used OS on the smartphones, however its security features are still not upto the mark. So the new Android Lollipop would have some added security features like newer version of Facial recognition App, Finger print scanner and additional warnings while selection the Apps from the Google Play Store.
5. Battery Life: Poor battery life has always been a major issue in Android OS. So the new Android Lollipop may have some technology of processing the data faster to save battery for better backup.
