The advancement in technology is already driving people crazy! And this century has turned out to be the greatest for the high-end technology lovers. Be it cars, bikes, medicines, smartphones, accessories and more, this list can be endless. Introduction of Android OS already brought a revolution in the mobile phone industry and the Android wearables added a diamond to the Crown. Now what’s next?

As discussed during the Google 2014 I/O Conference, Android L and Android wearables will be the next biggest thing in this ‘Smart-Era’. If this true, this era will also evolve thousands of the coolest Apps supporting these Smart gadgets.  For eg. Recently introduced GoCam App recognizes gestures and lets you takes selfies, standing 3 meters away from your phone.  Apps like Assistant, Google translate, Wordlens are also amazing inventions.
Electroencephalography Headband Attached To Google Glass
Google Glass is one of the greatest invention of 21st century. It does much more than a just a glass frame on your eyes and because of this reason it has always been in talks. It already sounds overwhelming that you can control Google Glass though you voice commands, however; the engineers of a London-based company called ‘This Place’ thought far ahead than that. They wanted to control the Google Glass with the brainwaves rather than voice commands and they have successfully done it by introducing their new App called ‘ MindRDR’.
MindRDR App Interface
The user interface of MindRDR is very simple as it appears like a white line in the corner of Google Glass's display. When you concentrate on something, the line grows bigger to cover up what you are looking at and triggers the inbuilt-camera to take a photo. MindRDR reads mind through an EEG (electroencephalography) headband attached to Google Glass. This band connects with MindRDR App to perform various functions. Currently this App has a very limited functionality. For Eg. When you look at a building through Google Glass and want to take a picture, then you can focus on it and just think of taking a picture. This App will read the electrical activity in your brain through the headband and convert it into instructions to trigger the click function automatically. Not only this, you can also upload these pictures on social networking websites then and there.

This is just the beginning of Android wearable Apps. ‘This Place’ is a independent company and its MindRDR App is not officially supported by Google yet, however; as discussed during the Google 2014 I/O Conference, Google’s doors are always open for new application for Google Glass. In future this App will do much more in terms of detecting and solving medical problems through mind reading rather than just clicking pictures.
