India’s biggest utility vehicle maker, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Has decided to recall its Scorpio Ex Trim variant SUV, manufactured between May 2012 and November 2013.  It is quite a big recall involving approx 23,519 units of Scorpio Ex for potentially faulty pressure regulating valves.

According to the Mahindra engineers, valves were performing inconsistent in some cases. So, as a preventive measure, the faulty parts will be examined and replaced absolutely free of cost by Mahindra and Mahindra Engineers immediately.  Last year as well M&M voluntarily recalled the Ex trim model for the same issue and only 985 Scorpio EX trim were found to be affected.

Nowadays, post sales vehicle care has taken a very important place for maintaining a high reputation in the market. This Era looks like a on-going vehicle recall Era. Even Ford and Maruti Suzuki had recalled their vehicles few months back for potentially faulty parts. Now, Mahindra & Mahindra’s second recall within less than one year shows the importance of safety and customer satisfaction for the organizations.

Sometimes I wonder how safe these vehicles are in this on-going recall era. Whats is you opinion? If your vehicle falls under this recall program and the parts get replaced then do you consider yourself lucky to get this replacement, or unlucky to be using this faulty vehicle so far? Kindly comment on this post.

Thank You
