The unlimited demand of smartphones in the Indian market is the reason behind the eruption of new brands in the last few years. Maxx Mobile launched its Maxx GenxDroid7 AX356 few weeks earlier and today it announced eight feature phones and nine smartphones in India in few weeks. The company is targeting six folds revenue growth in 2015.

Obi Mobile- Another brand of smartphones which took birth today with a launch of its debut smartphone ‘Octopus S520’ at a price of Rs 11990 in India. Launching a smartphone brand in this overcrowded smartphone Indian market is not something new; however, the most interesting fact about Obi Mobile is tag of Ex-Apple CEO John Sculley and Micromax's former division head - Ajay Sharma, becoming Obi’s new CEO. Now that sounds like big news and definitely sets up lot of expectation from the company’s products as well. Obi Mobile is headquartered in Gurgaon, and will be promoted by Inflexionpoint.
