Google Glass, which weighs only 50g, might not feel very heavy on your nose; however, with a price tag of £1000 it is definitely heavy for pocket. Google Glass, a wearable computer on your eyes has been in talks lately, reason may good or bad. For few, it’s a crazy gadget, which is connected to the internet world and can deliver any information, anytime and anywhere. For other, it’s a gadget which could intrude in their privacy.

The biggest question is what will the owners use it for? Most the people might use it for accessing the information like emails, photos on socials networking websites, and browsing internet without having to disengage from life. A lot of app developers in the market are working on the apps only for smart wearables which are expected to be introduced in Google 2014 I/O this week. Now, with the availability of Google Glass in UK we can expect new apps to hit the British market soon. One of the users mentioned about an app which can map constellations when you look up at the night sky and the other one translates the words into the language of your preference. Google will keep on updating Glass – Hardware and Software, until it serves the purpose of wider public.

A person using Google Glass gets an illusion of seeing a 25" HD screen put right in front of his eyes at a distance of about 8 ft. It has a 5MP camera to click photos and capture videos at 720p HD resolution. Google glass comes with bone conduction transducer which maintains sound clarity in very noisy environment and it can be used with hearing protection.

As of now, the price tag of Google Glass is not fit for wider public. In order to make it a widely used product, either Google should come up with different versions of Glass or bring down the price something which is suitable to everyone’s pocket.
