For Sony Xperia:

Sony mobile has announced that the owners of Sony Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra smartphones can now download and install the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware from Sony Mobile website. Starting from Indonesia, Italy and Russia, the updates for Android 4.4.4 KitKat  will be pushed to various territories depending upon on the handset.  Users can check the Update Centre app or Sony's PC suite programs installed.  Once the handset gets upgraded to Android 4.4.4 KitKat it will have few updates specific to Sony multimedia application and along with that it will give better security features, better camera application experience, and added enhancements in Google Voice, Contacts, Music streaming and Google+

Users can install the firmware update with any of the following methods:
1. Using the Update Centre app or by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates.
2. Windows computer- Installing the Sony PC Companion program. For MAC- Use Sony Bridge.


For LG Optimus:

LG has started pushing the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Optimus G Pro in India and Indonesia as well. The Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Optimus G Pro is an update of 684MB in size and is available OTA (over-the-air). LG had announced Android 4.4 KitKat update for its LG Optimus L9 II and LG G Pro Lite handsets on LG Italy's Facebook page in May. LG said that these updates would skip the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS update and will be rolled out in few weeks. So, we can expect these updates to be rolled out in July. 

Whereas, according to LG Brazil's Facebook page, Android 4.4 KitKat update will be available for Optimus G Pro at the end of July and for Optimus G at the end of August.
So far, LG has not informed anything about the KitKat update for the older Flagship Optimus handsets in India. Lets see how soon that news pops-up.
