The owner of Jaguar, Indian Automobile giant- Tata Motors has re-launched its Jaguar XJ 3.0 diesel. Now, Jaguar XJ 3.0 diesel gets assembled in company’s factory in Pune- India along with its sedan Jaguar XF. The local production of cars has helped the company to reduce its cost from 25-30%. This re-launched 3.0-litre Jaguar XJ sedan is launched with a very competitive price tag of Rs 92.1 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). This beauty on wheels is a perfect combination of British elegance, raw power, innovative design and sophistication.

After local production, like BMW and Mercedes-Benz, the company has been offering this 3.0 Sedan at a competitive price and on the top of it, the Jaguar XJ gets many additional features. Inside the cabin it comes with more relaxing ‘massage seats’ at the back. These seats can be operated in three different modes. New business tables have been attached to the back of front seats. In addition to it, the XJ sedan gets an electric sun window blinds on the rear windows and the rear infotainment screens have become wider to 10.2 inches.  Inside the driver’s cabin, the Jaguar’s Smart Key System works for keyless entry and push button start. Meridian-825W Audio Surround Sound System with 20 speakers and the rear view parking system are some standard features of this XJ version.

The Jaguar XJ will be available in a Premium Luxury variant priced at Rs 92.10 lakh and also the Jaguar’s Portfolio model priced Rs 98.70 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). Premium Luxury model is fitted with 45.72 cm (18) Meru alloy wheels and the Portfolio variant comes with 48.26 cm (19) Toba alloys. The 3-litre V6 engine, produces 271bhp power and 600Nm of torque, whereas, the 2.0-litre engine produces 240bhp of power and 340Nm of torque. Both the engines are coupled with 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Tata Motors has been able to bring down the cost of this Premium luxury sedan to competitive edge in the Indian luxury car segment. With such a price tag it will be competing with Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG, BMW Z4, Porsche Boxster and the Audi TT.
